The Mission

Inspiring faith, hope and love!

This vision and mission is centred around the use of Sunrise Lodge/Haven as a mission base, that reaches into the surrounding towns and villages and is the home for the RESURGENCE programme held several times per year for needy young people.

Our dream is for Sunrise Lodge to be a place where Christians (and anyone for that matter) could come and be refreshed, equipped and empowered, but most of all, encounter the manifest presence of God.

  • Kingdom Impact South Africa (KISA) is a Christ-centered, Kingdom-focused ministry that seeks to usher in the reality of God’s kingdom reign in communities impacted by spiritual, physical, emotional, academic and financial poverty.

  • Our mandate is to initiate a church planting movement that brings lasting transformation in the region.

  • Our primary focus area is centered in Oviston and spans three District Municipalities, located in three different Provinces, with a combined population of around 695,000 people. Almost every community in this region faces enormous challenges.

  • The region we serve is characterised by high levels of poverty, an HIV/AIDS prevalence that is higher than the national average, heavy dependency on state social grants, a very high school drop-out rate and a pervading sense of spiritual darkness and hopelessness.

South Africa has not been exempt from the recent challenges presented by Covid 19 pandemic. As with all global challenges, its the poorest communities that suffer the most.

KISA has been the only organisation on the ground, looking after its local community by supplying food parcels, with a grant obtained from New Frontiers. KISA has managed to feed over 300 households.

Pictured in the first photos are volunteers helping to sort food parcels and a happy recipient of one of those food parcels, in the second photo.
